The innovative Gecko® Nanoplast® silicone tape makes use of Van der Waals forces of attraction, which create an intermolecular electrostatic attraction effect. The tape’s microscopic gripping elements guarantee high adhesion strength, without leaving any residue, on smooth, wet, or slippery surfaces.
Gecko® Nanoplast® has already successfully passed a series of medical tests, such as the biological evaluation of medical devices
- Cytotoxicity of eluate pursuant to DIN EN ISO 10993-5, 1999-11,
- Primary Skin Irritations Test pursuant to DIN EN ISO 10993-10
- Haemocompatibility pursuant to ISO 10993-4 (thrombocytes, haemolysis, coagulation, complement activation)
Gecko® Nanoplast® is washable and reusable.
It is excellent, among other things, for increasing the grip of high-quality laboratory gloves or for securing tracheal cannula.
Self-engaging mushroom fasteners
The Microduotec® fastener, which unlike hook and loop systems is much quieter, considerably improves the situation of colostomy and ileostomy patients. It is a very thin mushroom-shaped fastener, which works like a press stud to close colostomy bags.
Perfect for frequent opening/closing cycles, skin-friendly and also available in a self-adhesive version, Klettostar® industrial hook and loops are suitable for the medical sector, , for example on the cuffs of blood pressure monitors, disposable clothing used in operating rooms or to fasten X-ray protective garments.
Klettolastic® the elastic hook-and-loop fastener loses neither elasticity nor tension with use; it adapts to all movement and is suitable for fastening all elastic materials.
The traditional hook and loop Klettostar® fastener withstands frequent opening and closing cycles.
In combination with a special, washable velour, Klettostar® LS (Light and Soft) creates a soft, fine and resistant closure, with high shear strength and reduced peel strength.
All these fasteners are skin-friendly.
Microplast® is mainly used within the orthopaedic sector as a technical fastening system made of polyamide, which can be high-frequency welded or sewn. Velour is often used as a counterpart.
